Reversible 14K Gold Boulder Opal Pendant
This one-of-a-kind boulder opal pendant is 100% hand-fabricated. You will not see another pendant like this anywhere.
The centerpiece of this unique pendant is a lovely freeform-cut Koroit Boulder opal gemstone from Queensland, Australia. It is a curved asymmetric shape with beautiful rippling radiating patterns in the stone. The stone is medium and dark browns in a woodgrain pattern with ribbons of brilliant opal throughout it. The opal shows play of colors in mostly red, orange, and green. The stone measures about 56x18mm, and it weighs about 55 carats.
I created a 14k yellow gold frame around the stone, and accented it with genuine natural round brilliant-cut gemstones. I fabricated 14k yellow gold tube settings for these accent stones, and decorated them with handmade solid karat gold beads. On one side of the pendant, I set fire citrine stones (heat-treated, one 4mm round, three 3mm round). On the reverse side, I set golden citrine stones (one 4mm round, three 3mm round).
I fabricated the triangle-shaped bail out of 14 karat yellow gold.
The overall size of this pendant is about 2-7/8 inches (7.3cm) in length, and about 3/4 inch (1.9cm) in width.
This pendant comes with a 14/20 yellow gold-filled rolo chain with a lobster claw clasp. Choose your length when you check out (16″ or 18″).
